+ POOL Riversweeps help keep New York City’s waterways beautiful for the city’s citizens. Part of being a good steward of public space includes keeping the rivers free from debris that can harm water quality, change the river’s ecology, and hurt marine wildlife. These volunteer events gather citizens for a day of service to build community and raise awareness of the issues impacting our waterways.
