“New York’s maritime heritage and Lower Manhattan waterfront are invaluable assets that make the Seaport District such an important part of our city. The + POOL installation provides an unprecedented, data-driven opportunity to creatively bring attention to waterfront issues that impact all New Yorkers.” – Saul Scherl, President of the New York Tri-State Region, The Howard Hughes Corporation
As a part of The Howard Hughes Corporation’s sponsorship, they’re supporting a host + POOL projects and initiatives, including: an NEA-backed public art installation in the river called + POOL Light, our 2018 Fall Swim Gala at Pier 17, and our 2019 Fall Swim Gala at THE POOL.
They’ve also given us access to the river from Pier 17 to install our Sonde that will monitor water quality, as well as letting us attach the sonde to the pier for safe-keeping.
