2nd Fall Swim Gala at The Standard, High Line

Our 2016 Fall Swim Gala took place at the Standard, High Line—thanks to David and Hermine Heller—and hosted by legendary artist Cindy Sherman, we honored the three responsible for building the culture-changing platform that helps bring projects, like + POOL, to life: the Kickstarter co-founders Yancey Strickler, Charles Adler and Perry Chen.

Since launching Kickstarter in 2009, 11 million people from around the world have pledged more than $2.6 billion through Kickstarter to bring 113,000 creative projects to life. After launching our own Kickstarter in 2011 and another campaign again in 2013, we were not only to raise over $340,000 to prove the feasibility of + POOL’s filtration system, but we were able to build a community around the project.

It was a pretty sweet moment to celebrate them for a night. We had a ping pong tournament manned by our friends Alysia Reiner, James MacGovern and John Farci, took loads of pictures with BFA, had our guests take loads of photos with a photobooth by BOSCO, tunes by Kaviar Disco Club and after party mixes by DJ Grey Wattz/Genesis Projects; and lots of fun as always with The88.
